If you have created a unique computer application that relies on high-bandwidth networks, you may be qualified to enter the BCNET Broadband Innovation Challenge. Our goal is to showcase student innovation that utilizes broadband networks.

• Cash Award (up to $10,000 distributed amongst top-place winners)

Publicity:

• Demonstrate your application to high-tech industry leaders, academia, and government

Have you thought about doing research? Are you interested in knowing more about the various areas of research of our professors? Come talk to various professors and check out research posters that your fellow undergrad students have put together. Learn more about research opportunities within the department (such as USRAs, directed studies, and honours theses). Vote for the best poster!

For those students interested in doing summer research or applying for USRAs, this will be a great opportunity for you to talk to professors who have ongoing research projects for undergrads!

Looking to get involved with student entrepreneurship or simply want to check out what we do? Come check out the VSEA open meeting on Monday. You will get the chance to meet our VSEA exec team prior to the meeting, and following the meeting is an optional workshop on “networking & approaching organizations for partnership”. So come early, there will be plenty of food! Please RSVP to Anna.
